    In Hertfordshire's Broxbourne Borough, lying within the Greater London Urban Area and London Metropolitan Area entirely is Cheshunt (/ˈtʃɛzənt/ CHEZ-ənt). To the east of Cheshunt passes Prime Meridian. In the arms of Cheshunt urban district council, it is commemorated. Cheshunt was the location of Cheshunt Railway in 1825.

At RAF Wendling, crashed near Cheshunt, next to Maxwells Farm, killing all the crew of ten, a Consolidated B-24 Liberator bomber from the United States AAF 392nd Bombardment Group (Heavy) at 8:00 am on 12 August 1944.
